With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa, George McCaskill of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta on December 4, 2020. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra, daughters Wendy (Rob), Fiona, and Karen (Brian), grandsons Stuart (Jen), Kyle (Dezirae) and their father, Brian, granddaughter Meagan, and great-grandsons, Brantley and Henry.
George also leaves behind his sisters, Mary (Jack) and Bella, and numerous nieces and nephews in both Canada and Scotland, as well as his many friends. He was predeceased by both his parents and his brothers, John and Henry.
George was born and raised in Scotland, where he met his wife, Sandra. They married in November 1968 and immigrated to Canada in 1975. George worked for many years at Sherritt in Fort Saskatchewan. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed spending time in the mountains, cruises with Sandra and time with his family and friends.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
