VASELENIUCK, Mary (nee Tonita)
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 3, 2020 at the age of 107 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Nick (1972). Loving mother to George Vaseleniuck (Betty) of Arizona, Ivan Vaseleniuck (Phyllis) of Texas, Victor Vaseleniuck (Sharon) of LaSalle, ON. and the late David Vaseleniuck (2018) and surviving wife Susan of North Carolina. Mary is a cherished grandmother to 13, great-grandmother to 23 and great-great-grandmother to 4. Dear sister to Virginia Silverson. Predeceased by brother John, and sisters, Helen, Annie, Fanny, Jenny and Sophie. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Europe. Mary was a faithful member and supporter of St. George’s Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Windsor for over 50 years. Mary will be remembered for her enjoyment of crocheting and knitting of blankets and quilts for her family, church and friends. A private family visitation and funeral service will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519.253.7234 with burial to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Mary’s life, memorial donations may be made directly to St. George’s Romanian Orthodox cathedral, 1960, Tecumseh Rd. E. Windsor, Ontario N8W 1E1.
