WHALLEY, Martin “Marty” James
June 13, 1959 – July 5, 2020
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at home on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the age of 61 years. Loving father of Matthew Whalley. Survived by his siblings Alice Holst (late Emil) of Ottawa, Bill Whalley (Wenda) of Creighton, Saskatchewan and Shirley Corrigan (Tom) of Brockville. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Marty is predeceased by his father Bill Whalley Sr., his mother Shirley (nee Hopson) Whalley, and sisters Sylvia, Carol and Lorraine. Also left to mourn are his dear friends of many years Kathe and Andrew Mutch.
Marty was an avid reader, formidable Scrabble player, a whiz at crossword puzzles and a longtime fan of Jeopardy. He will be missed for his good heartedness and his incredible sense of humor.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will celebrate his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins
