We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of
our son Mark Valentino Chaves on Saturday, October 17, 2020.
He is survived by his parents Tony and Carmela. He will be deeply
missed by his brother Jason (Stephanie), girlfriend Kaitlynn Santos
and grandparents Antonio, Maria, Valentino and Maria. Mark will also
be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles extended family and
friends.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge,
where family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 25, 2020
from 5-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St.
Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 11a.m.
The family graciously declines flowers. Should one wish,
donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
In accordance with current Covid-19 Provincial,
Federal and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario regulations, special
arrangements have been made to accommodate the safety and convenience
of everyone. Access to the facility will be controlled and all
visitors will be required to wear a mask, to provide the funeral home
personnel with their name and telephone number upon arrival, and to
observe physical distancing measures while on the
premises.
Under any other circumstances we would have loved for all of
you to join us at the Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church. It
is definitely something Mark would have wanted.
Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, the capacity of the church
is limited, so we are asking for people to be respectful and allow the
Mass to be for family and close friends only. With regards
to the visitation, it will be from 5-9p.m., which is open for all to
join. Please keep in mind that it will be a walk through,
there will be no hugging and kissing at all, due to Covid19.
Again, we wish things were different and deeply appreciate all the
love and support that has been given by our community, however we will
very much appreciate your cooperation at this very difficult
time.
**The Chaves Family asks that on the
day of the Funeral everyone please go to the church instead of the
Funeral Home, so the family can have their time to say their final
goodbyes.**
