Obituary of Marjorie Helen Carrie
Marjorie Helen Carrie passed away peacefully at Hospice Prince Edward on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in her 99th year. Daughter of the late Albert and Bertha Scriven. Beloved wife of the late Robert Carrie and the late William Anderson. Loving mother of Jim (Dorothy) Carrie of Mississauga and Janice (Laurence) Steven of St. Catharines. Cherished grandmother of Sarah Carrie (Christophe Loubaton), Emily Hesselink, Anna (Neal) Glauser, Tom (Julie) Steven, Carolyn Steven (Jeremy Lyons) and Elaine Steven (Alex Duhamel). Great grandmother of Emma, Oliver, Gaelle, Jasper and Zoe. Marjorie is survived by her sister Madeline Rodgers of Belleville. She is predeceased by her sister, Gladys Hannah and her brothers Walter, Reginald, James and Thomas Scriven. She is fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family. Marjorie was known for her vibrant spirit and lived an active Christian faith; she worshiped at Hastings Park Bible Church. The family extend their gratitude to Melynda Kainberger, Dr. J. Allin, Denis Michel of LHIN, Dr. J. Webster, the Nursing Staff of Quinte 5th floor of BGH and the volunteers, staff, caregivers and Dr. Burke of Hospice Prince Edward for their care and compassion. A Private Family Service with interment at Belleville Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273).
