Obituary for
Marion «Dixie» Fenton
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion (Dixie) Fenton at the age of 94 3/4 years on June 8th, 2020. She went peacefully in her sleep and was happy and smiling until the end. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her sister, Marge, will miss her quick wit and helping hands forever and always.
Born in Gooding, Idaho, Dixie moved to Canada with her family in the 1930’s. She met and married Bruce in 1952 while working and living in Calgary. They moved extensively with their young family until the 1970’s when they put down roots and bought a small hobby farm by Seba Beach. In their later years, due to Bruce and Dixie’s declining health, they relocated to Edmonton.
We would like to thank the staff of River Ridge Memory Lane, St. Albert for their kind and compassionate care of Dixie over the last few years. Also, we wish to express our gratitude to Park Memorial for their care of both Dixie and Bruce (in 2016).
In lieu of flowers we encourage you to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta.
