On Sunday, November 1, 2020 Marie “Maria” Madeleine Lafond was called to glory to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ at the age of 86 years. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: Claude (Tracy) Lafond of Redwater, Donald Lafond (Juanita Roy) of Bonnyville, Onile Lafond of Bonnyville; four daughters: Aline (Glen) Hrycauk, Suzanne (Roger) Antoniuk, Paulette (Terry) Coleman, Colette (Raymond) Dechaine all of Bonnyville; nineteen grandchildren: Natalie (Pat) Amyotte, Michelle (Alex) Nassif, Stephanie (Scott) Severin, Jay (Hailey) Lafond, Derek (Shaylene) Antoniuk, Jordan Antoniuk, Kurtis Antoniuk, Renée Antoniuk, Kristen Antoniuk, Jaycelyn Antoniuk, Jennifer Strome, Keithen (Reese) Coleman, Bryton Coleman, Janelle Coleman, Zoé Lafond, Olivia Lafond, Naomi Dechaine, Noah Dechaine, Sophie Dechaine; two step-grandchildren: Brad Pearson, Lindsey Pearson; eleven great grandchildren: Dorielle, Ethan, Jada, Marabel, Adelaide, Abygael, Amelia, Peighton, Carson, Sawyer, Lennox.
Marie was predeceased by her husband: Lionel Lafond on August 30, 1992; parents: Edmond & Flore Paquette; four sisters: Emilie Laitres, Annette Henri, Alice Ruel, Adrienne Henri; five brothers: Rosaire, Albert, Rock, Urbain, Leo.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, with Father Rene Realuyo as Celebrant. Final resting place, Holy Family Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bonnyville.
