Marguerite Reine (Fontaine) Sadowy
September 23, 1952 – May 6, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Marguerite Reine Sadowy announce her sudden passing on May 6, 2020 at the age of 67.
Left to cherish Marguerite’s memories are her sons, Jay (Shayna), Justin (Trina); her grandchildren, Jaedin, Satia, Jasmine and Madison; brother Robert (Sharon); niece Suzanne (Glendon Tietz); nephews, Daniel, Myles and Reid; and numerous cousins, with cousin Jacqueline (Rondeau) Lemoine being so special to her in the last few years. Marguerite’s close friend Janice also had a special place her heart, along with many other friends.
Marguerite is predeceased by her mother Alice (Rondeau) Fontaine, brother Donald Fontaine, husband Daniel Sadowy and many aunts and uncles.
Marguerite was born at St. Joseph hospital in Port Arthur now Thunder Bay, ON and later moved to Winnipeg in the early 60’s where she continued her education. Later Marguerite met the love of her life Daniel Nicholas Sadowy and they married in 1974. Shortly after marriage they had two sons and spent almost 44 years together until his passing in 2018.
Aside from being a homemaker Marguerite loved reading, had a passion for art and was an avid music lover, while in her later years, it was spending time with her cats and grandchildren that brought her the most joy.
Marguerite was an amazing woman and pillar of strength. She showed her strength and determination over the many years of family loss and medical issues. She had often commented that her grandchildren were her motivation and always embraced them with open arms as she did with so many people. Her friends and family meant the world to her. Marguerite was filled with love and light and had a generous and forgiving soul. She had a deep faith throughout her life and knew she was going to a better place.
Celebration of Life will be held at a late date when we can gather with family and friends.
