Obituary of Margaret Barkovsky
Barkovsky, Margaret (nee Krueger)
Passed away at the Leamington Mennonite Home on Thursday, December 17, 2020, in her 95th year.
Born in the Ukraine, daughter of the late David and Susa (nee Warkentin) Krueger and wife of the late Jacob Barkovsky, Margaret worked as a dental assistant and later as an x-ray technician at the Medical Centre in Leamington. In her retirement, Margaret was renowned for the beautiful afghans and quilts she created.
Survived by brother, Victor (Rita) Krueger of Elmira and nephews and nieces Alan (Margaret) Krueger of Ilderton, Greg (Joanne) Krueger of Guelph, and Lynn (Ken) Krueger of Elmira. Fondly remembered by great nieces and nephews, Annie, Kyra, Brin, Jessica, Isaac and Evan Krueger and Aidan and Mhari Reid.
On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, Margaret’s life will be commemorated by a procession from the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington departing at 11:15 a.m., followed by a graveside service at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, to be officiated by Rev. Cathrin van Sintern Dick.
Memorial donations to the Leamington Mennonite Home would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
