Marcel’s Obituary
D’ENTREMONT, Marcel Lewis – age 31, after a brief yet courageous battle, went to join his dad (and his dog Brandie) in Heaven on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the VG Site of the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born February 13, 1989 in Yarmouth, he was a son of Marilyn (Babin) D’Entremont, Pubnico, and the late Lewis D’Entremont. Marcel worked as a long-haul truck driver for David Brown a division of Easson, before which he was an electrician, a trade he still really enjoyed tinkering with. The thing he enjoyed most were his many camping trips to Keji, sitting beside the campfire and sharing his dry sense of humour with others. Marcel will be remembered as a faith-filled, gentle soul with a big heart. Aside from his mother, Marilyn, he will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Ginette D’Entremont (Mark), nephew Declan and Michelle O’Connor (Geoff). In accordance with Marcel’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of Marcel’s life will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, August 14 from the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, Pastor AJ Plazier officiating. Interment will take place at St. Pierre’s Cemetery, Middle West Pubnico at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Yarmouth Wesleyan Church (South Shore Youth) The family would like to thank Dr. Jamal and all the devoted staff on 8-A at the VG Hospital for the excellent care they showed Marcel and his family.
