Marc Anthony Beaver
1959-2020
BEAVER, Marc Anthony, 61, of
Antigonish. It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden
passing of Marc Beaver on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020 at St.
Martha’s Hospital.
Born in Ottawa on Feb. 20, 1959, Marc was a dedicated, loving
son, husband, and a best friend to his three sons. Marc worked for
Scotsburn Dairy for 38 years, first as a machine operator and later as
a milkman. He loved interacting with the customers on his route and he
was often accompanied by his three boys. Marc was an enthusiastic
handyman and a natural at many sports including golf and especially
softball where he was a talented shortstop. He was most at peace when
fly-fishing. Marc was a born entertainer. Whether telling jokes or
stories or playing guitar and singing old country tunes with his dad
or knocking off CCR or Eagles tunes with his friends, he was always
the life of the party. His pranks and antics, like his Elvis Presley
and John Wayne impersonations and Donald Duck imitations put a smile
on many a face, young and old. Kids could be mesmerized by him. Marc
loved Port Hood, Cape Breton, where his wife Mary’s family
roots are, and he made many friends there. So many people will miss
his kind nature, his sense of humour and his lively banter. He was
always someone who would take the time to talk to
people.
Marc will be dearly missed by his parents Rudy and Stella
(Warren) Beaver, by Mary (Gillis), the love of his life from high
school sweetheart to wife of 41 years, their sons Chris (Jodi) and
Justin of Halifax, and Daniel (Danielle) of St. Andrew’s,
Antigonish Co. Also, by his sisters Cheryl (Fred Alexander) of
Pleasant Valley and Sharon of Saskatoon; his brothers Travis (Lynn
Kennedy) of Port Hawkesbury and Robert (Diane) of Paris, Ontario.
Also, by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, his numerous nieces and
nephews, and the many people who were proud to call him friend. He was
so looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild in late
December.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm at C.L.
Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish. Masks must be worn
and Covid 19 social distancing guidelines followed. and A private
funeral service will be held on Thursday morning with Rev. Sue Channen
presiding. A livestream link to the service will be provided on this
obituary at 11:00am Thursday.
