Obituary
Lynette Cooke (nee Dimmock) of Gull Lake, SK passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK.
Lynette Daphne Dimmock Cooke was born July 12, 1935 to Stan & Buddy Dimmock in the Tompkins District – one of five children and the only daughter. Lynette had three children — Ken, Jackie, and Patrick. She wore many hats from telephone operator, mending for Fay’s Fashion, jewelry stores, real estate, senior homes, and owning and operating restaurants and an ice cream stand. She retired to a farm south of Gull Lake and then moved to town.
Her flowers and garden were her love, her grandkids and great-grandkids were the love of her life. Lynette also loved her animals. No one could cook or make a pie like Lynette. She lived on her own at King’s Manor and had just turned 85.
Lynette is survived by her three children, Ken (and friend), Jackie (Ron), and Patrick; her grandchildren, Leanne, Adam, Kyle, Kerri, and Jeanette; her six great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lynette was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; her grandson, Shaun; her brothers, Jack, Stan, Dale, and Lanny; and by several brothers and sisters-in-law.
In memory of Lynette Cooke, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, or STARS Air Ambulance would be appreciated by the family.
A Private Family Service for Lynette Cooke will be held at a later date.
