Lorraine Marie (Matheson) LeBlanc – 87,
Truro, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, April 19, 2020, at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Minto, New
Brunswick, she was one of 13 children of the late Peter and Josephine
(Bourgeois) Vienneau.
Lorraine was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception
Roman Catholic Church, Truro. She was an avid walker and a familiar
face around the town and many will remember seeing her walking at
Kiwanis Pond and all over Truro. She also enjoyed painting, knitting,
crochet, reading, travelling and siblings reunion.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Patricia LeBlanc, West
Virginia; Brian LeBlanc (Liz Senger), Kelowna, British Columbia; Mike
(Barb) LeBlanc, Truro; Holly LeBlanc (Harley Brown), Truro; Gary
LeBlanc, Truro; daughters-in-law, Brenda and Amanda, Truro; four step
children; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lorraine’s siblings include: Bertha (deceased), Irene,
George, Norman (deceased), Bruno, Ben (deceased), Leanna, Roger
(deceased), Geraldine, David, Linda, Gerry. Along with her parents,
she was predeceased by her first husband, Victor LeBlanc; second
husband, John Matheson; son, Peter LeBlanc.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at a later date at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic
Church, followed by interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. If so
desired, donations in Lorraine’s memory to Canadian Cancer
Society are welcomed.
