Lorne Campbell
Peacefully at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, April 04, 2020, the Lord wrapped his arms around Lorne Edward Campbell of Tillsonburg, formerly of Toronto, and took him to Heaven, at the age of 95 years. Loving husband, in their 70th year of marriage, to Audrey (nee Pifko). Survived by his sisters-in-law Henny, Jean, and Carol Campbell. Uncle to special niece Sherry Denstedt. Loving Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Rachel (nee Eby) Campbell, sister Gladys Drudge, brothers Robert, Paul, and George Campbell. Lorne worked at Spare Aerospace for 40 years, until his retirement. Lorne and Audrey moved to Tillsonburg in 1999, and were extremely happy with their decision. They were married in 1950 from St. John’s Lutheran Church, and they later moved to Willowdale in Toronto. Lorne helped or was on Council at the different churches they were members at. Lorne was a volunteer at the Tillsonburg Hospital for 20 years. He loved photography but had a number of different hobbies to keep him busy. A private family service is to be held at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Etobicoke. Memorial donations to Peace Lutheran Church or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the Campbell family and can be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221), who have been entrusted with arrangements. Friends and relatives are invited to show their support by sending special heartfelt tributes, and hugs from home in memory of Lorne to www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com.
