Obituary of Lori Lynn Jones
With great sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Lori Lynn (Armstrong) Jones on May 7, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Sus, NB on October 2, 1966, only daughter of Thomas Leroy Armstrong and the late Anna Jean (Williams) Armstrong, devoted wife of Graeme Jones, and mother of Denver Jones and his partner Kayla.
Lori was predeceased by her brother, Kevin; mother, Anna; nephew, Jonathan; and brother-in-law, Chris. She is survived by her five brothers and their spouses: Dwayne and Rosanna, Bradley and Beth, Rodney and Kerry Lynn, Chris and Wendi and Mike and Connie. She is also survived by her parents-in-law: Deryk and Josephine; special friend, Dr. Louise Cloutier and sisters-in-law: Mary-Kay and Gloria; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, step-grandchildren, extended family, and her soon-to-arrive grandchild.
Lori married the love of her life, Graeme Jones, on July 4, 1987. Lori and Graeme were devoted to each other as partners in love, parenting, business, and adventure. They were overjoyed when they became parents to their son Denver.
Lori was a joyful, generous, funny, clever, and incredibly hard-working person. She began her working life at Zeller’s and in her father’s business while still in high school before moving on to manage a division of NB Quality Turf in Maugerville for over 25 years. She and her husband Graeme also co-managed a division of Granview Farms Ltd cranberry bog together for many years.
Lori had a warm and welcoming personality and an infectious sense of humour, always ready with a new joke to share. She loved nothing more than gathering her loved ones to share a meal, celebrate family, and crack jokes over a game of Whisk. She always had a slice of her signature cherry cheesecake at the ready and made sure no one wanted for anything.
Lori loved to give presents, share delicious food and funny stories, and gave wonderful hugs. She loved children and animals dearly and spoiled all of her extended family and cherished pets whenever she could.
Lori was the glue that held our family together. Because of Lori, our world is a better place. She will be so dearly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 public health restrictions, there will be no public viewing or ceremony. A celebration of Lori’s life will be held once regulations permit.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and/or Diabetes Canada. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com.
