Lois Berze / Freeman
Mrs Lois Berze of the Centerview District passed away suddenly on March 3, 2020 at the age of 84.
Lois was born at home in the Forshee area to Alexander (Sandy) and Selma Freeman.
On August 20, 1954. Lois Married Joe Berze JR.
For the first 6 years of marriage Lois and Joe travelled all around Saskatchewan as he was working seismic. In 1957 they purchased a quarter of land in the Centerview District and built their home. They raised 3 children all the while Lois worked at bookkeeping jobs for Rimbey 5 to $1 store, Rimbey Auction Mart, Algar Agencies and beside Joe on the farm. She belonged to the Eastern Star and Forshee Ladies Club.
Lois’s first love was her husband Joe and her family. She loved golfing and Joe and Lois did it together, meeting and making forever friends and memories. She loved most sports. When she no longer curled, played softball or golfed, she followed it on tv.
Lois and Joe enjoyed traveling all over North America in their motor coach with family and friends. They finally wintered in Blythe, California for 11yrs.
Lois loved to cook and bake, especially bread. Her recipes were shared wherever they entertained.
Lois was good with numbers and had a great memory. She could add and multiply numbers, remember phone numbers, birthdays, dates, people, places, roads… You name it. She was our google and we loved her for it.
Predeceased by her parents Sandy and Selma, three brothers, Don, Alvin and Keith Freeman.
Lois is survived by one sister Norma Burrell of Whitehorse. Her daughters; Charlene and her partner Richard of Bentley, JoAnne (Stan) Rumsey of Bentley, and a son, Blair of Bentley. Lois also leaves to mourn her loss, five grandchildren Vicki, Tim, Chris, Megan and Jordan. Six great grandchildren, Rachel, Madison, Grace, Olivia, Hudson and Brooks.
As per Lois’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
