He’s joined Freda and they’re together with their Saviour. “They have fought the good fight, they have finished the race, they have kept the faith.”(2 Timothy 4:7) Lloyd Dalzell of Windsor was born in Ottawa but grew up in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Lloyd’s wife of 63 years Freda (Bahr) died in 2019. Lloyd is also pre-deceased by his parents, George and Daisy (Davidson) Dalzell and his siblings, Wes, Bill, Lois McKee, and Georgia Heron. Lloyd is survived by his three children, Debbie (Bob Hodgins) and Bob (Carmen) of Windsor and Marc (Laurie) of Binbrook; his four grandchildren, Natalie (John Gadsden) and David Hodgins (Keesha) and Hannah (Dylan Marchese) and Emma Dalzell; his great-grandsons Grant and Zane Gadsden; and his sisters-in-law Rosemarie Bahr of Toronto, and Maisie Dalzell of Niagara Falls. His many nieces and nephews will also miss him. Lloyd met Freda in Noranda. In 1955 they married and moved to Windsor where Lloyd joined the Ford trade school and became a draftsman. He worked at Ford for 40 years, commuting to Ford in Dearborn where he became a senior manager in the design department. He was actively involved with his children, grandchildren, and with his church, coached minor hockey and always had a dog to walk. He loved his summers at the family cottage on Lac Vaudray, Rouyn-Noranda. Lloyd’s family would appreciate donations to The Hospice of Windsor & Es County. They would also like to thank Seasons LaSalle for the wonderful care provided.
