It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest Liza on December 26, 2020 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Antonius for 64 years. Loving mother to Mary (Eli) Hindi, Joseph (Aida), Sam (Diane), Joanne (Richard) Morneau, and Tony. Beloved Situ to Michael (Melany), Michelle (Sam), Melissa (Joe), Kristina, Amanda, Samantha, Krystal (Anthony), Erik (Danielle) Heather (Shane), Sam Jr. and Daniel. Cherished Great Situ to Elias, Nathan, Mary, Mason, Macey, Olivia and Julian. Predeceased by her parents Antonios and Naomi Semaan (Omar). Cherished sister to Bahiga Wehbe, Leila Taouil, sister in law Linda Omar and the late Youseff, Wahib, Bahige, Wahiba, Hamama, Amelia, Samia, Hened, and Noelle.
Our wife, mother and Situ was a kind caring person always worrying about her family and never wanting attention to herself. She loved bringing her family together on all occasions making sure that each person had their favourite dish. As a wife, she devoted herself to her husband. As a mother, she instilled the best qualities of life and faith to her children, and as a Situ she showed the true meaning of love and selflessness. Liza was loved by many and will remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of the Omar and Azar family.
A special and heartfelt thank you to Dr. Chen and all the staff and PSW’s in the Es Neighbourhood at the Village of St. Clair for all of their thoughtfulness and care for our beloved mother during her time spent there. The family asks that the donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor- Es County or Hospice of Windsor-Residential Home.
Due to COVID restrictions a private family service will be held with a celebration of Liza’s life at a later date.
At 10:00am on Thursday, December 31, 2020 a livestream link of the Mass will be available on Liza’s online profile.
