Obituary of Linda Anne Watt
Age 73, West Quoddy, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 with her loving children by her side. Born in West Quoddy July 19, 1946 she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Hilda (Moser) Watt. Linda was employed at Zellers for several years, taking a few years off to referee her children at home. She then was employed at the Royal Bank as an investment service representative for 20 years, retiring in 2000 to the family home in West Quoddy, where she was born. Linda was active in the Royal Canadian Legion, holding many offices, she was also a member of St. Peters CWL and St. Michael’s Cemetery Committee. In her spare time Linda enjoyed gardening, reading, watching her British tv mysteries, going out in the boat to the islands, anything historical, her duck tollers, Rua, Tucker and Bryer and most of all her family, especially our family gatherings in the summer in her little house on the hill. Survived by her greatest pride, her son, Craig Murphy, and daughter, Kelly Murphy both of Halifax; loving sister, Joyce McNair, West Quoddy, nieces, Darlene, Patricia, Nancy; and nephews, Tim, Ward, Chris and their families. Linda was predeceased by her sister, Donna Beck; and nephews, Martin and Jimmy Beck. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the Doctors and Nurses at the Dartmouth General and Victoria General who could not have done more to care for our Mum; you made an extremely trying time a little bit easier. Mum, our hearts are broken but we know we’ll see you again. Visitation will be held Friday, February 21st from 7-9 p.m. with a CWL service at 7:15 p.m. and prayers at 7:30 p.m. in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 22nd, at 11 a.m. in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Sheet Harbour, Father Fabian officiating.
