Leo Aloysius O’Shea, 81, resident of Losier Hall and formerly of Cassilis, NB, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
Born in Cassilis, NB, Leo was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Leo is predeceased by his parents: Jerry and Gladys (Lawlor) O’Shea, his wife: Vivian (Matchett) O’Shea, his daughter: Janet White, his sisters: Mary Tozer (Gerald) and Carmel Hogan (Peter), his brother: Gerald (Virgina) and an infant grandchild.
Leo is survived by his daughters: Alma Mutch (Kim) of Lyttleton, NB and Debbie Jardine (Dexter) of Warwick Settlement,NB, son: Louis O’Shea (Earon) of Halcomb, NB and son in law: Don White. He also leaves behind his eight grandchildren: Brandon and Jordan Jardine, Michael and Riley Mutch, Luke White, Shelby, Jacob and Aiden O’Shea; one great grandson: Blake Leo plus many nieces and nephews.
Please note: there will be no visitation. Due to Covid-19, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, on Saturday, September 12th at 11 AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Burial will take place in St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church Cemetery Fund.
The family would like to thank the staff of 4 East and also the Palliative Care Department for the excellent care, kindness, and compassion shown to Leo in his final days.
