La célébration de
Kristine Savage
29 novembre 1960 –
28 novembre 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Kristine (Kris) Savage announce her sudden passing on November 28, 2020 at the age of 59, a day before her 60th birthday. Kris was on her usual morning walk when she collapsed, and, despite the efforts of paramedics, could not be revived. Kris is survived by her parents, Robert and Beverly Binhammer; her children, Emily and Nicholas (Katelyn); and her sister Katherine (Dianne). She is predeceased by her sister, Anne. Kris was happiest when spending time with her family, cooking, travelling, and sunbathing on the dock at the beloved cottage. Nurturing others was a blessing to her and nothing gave her more pleasure than parenting Emily and Nicholas. She was a second mother to many in her community and she called her parents every day. Kris was proud of her almost 40-year career with Syngenta where she held leadership roles in Marketing, Crop Management, and Learning and Development. She excelled at connecting with colleagues and growers, equally at home in a soybean field as in the latest digital platform. Kris’s faith was a cornerstone of who she was and St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Etobicoke was home. Her volunteer work with the Good Food Market at the church contributed greatly to the program’s success and embodied her passion for agriculture and food security. She wholly embraced God’s love and what God had planned for her; we who can no longer hold her find solace in knowing she’s in God’s arms. The family would like to thank the TTC driver and the Toronto Paramedics for their compassion.
A funeral service will be held with the family on Saturday December 5th. To honour Kris’s life, the family is requesting donations to the Good Food Market at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Etobicoke. www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/16927
