Kevin’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of the late Kevin Hancheroff mourn the loss of their son, brother, and uncle, who passed away in Yorkton, SK, on December 22, 2020, at the age of 41 years.
Kevin Curtis Hancheroff was born December 18, 1979, in Canora, SK, to Jerry and Darlene (Kosar) Hancheroff. He worked in Yorkton as a security guard and held several construction positions over the years. Kevin loved doing yard maintenance at the farm and received great joy from playing for hours with his nieces and nephews.
His favorite song was, “If you want to play in Texas” by Alabama and he enjoyed spending his evenings listening to music.
Kevin was a collector of sports memorabilia and had quite the enviable and extensive collection of hockey cards.
The loss of Kevin will leave an empty space in the lives of all who knew and loved him, but he will continue to live on in their hearts. Rest in peace Kevin – you will be missed.
Kevin was predeceased by his brother, Gerald, and his grandparents, George and Annie Hancheroff and David and Sophie Kosar.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Jerry and Darlene Hancheroff; sister, Carolyn (Tyler); two nieces, Taylor and Hailey; and his nephew, Lucas; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from the Chapel of Leson’s Funeral Home, Canora, SK, with Very Rev. Fr. Joakim Rac officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in the Canora Cemetery. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Kevin Hancheroff.
