It is with broken hearts and an abundance of love we announce the passing of Kenneth Joseph Morrissey, 58 of St. John’s, in the presence of family on Dec. 3, 2020. Ken was a loving father, brother, friend and grandfather who had a passion for food and family. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Walter Morrissey, Ken leaves behind daughters Alisha (Matthew Daniels) and Emilee (Robyn Marsh), soulmate Marie Lewis; his adored and cherished grandchildren Delaney and Max, « best buddy » Riley; brothers John (Linda), Brian (Jackie), Robert (Ann Marie Buckingham), Chris (Kala); sisters Jennifer (Mark Gallagher), Barb (John McCarthy), Leanne (Alicia Wade) and Karen (Henry Kielley). Also mourning his loss are a large circle of family and friends including Geraldine Collins, David Kannenberg, and many former co-workers from the Delta Hotel, Coleman’s, and Red Oak Catering. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Rd. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
The family would especially like to thank the exceptional nurses who provided care and comfort to Ken and the family throughout his stay in St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, the Health Sciences Centre, and the Miller Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s memory to a mental health charity of your choice or the Community Food Sharing Association.
