Kenneth Ivan James Prouty
Ken Prouty of Ayr, Ontario, passed away at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario, on Thursday March 26, 2020, at the age of 71 years.
Beloved husband to Shirley (nee Poirier). Cherished father of Melita Reid (Jerry) and Jennifer Walsh (Rob); much loved grandfather to Holly, Jordan, Trevor and Danielle, and Grandpa Ken to Cody White and Robbie Walsh.
Ken is the son of Edna Louise Prouty (nee Thomas), of Dundas, Ontario, and the late Ivan Joseph Prouty.
Sadly missed by his sister Anne Geay (Pascal), his brother Roger Prouty and his sister Pat Wood. Also deeply missed by many nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and nieces and cousins.
Ken worked as a computer programmer/software engineer, for a large portion of this life at Ratheon Canada (Waterloo) and Com Dev (Cambridge). His love was computers, music (collected LP’s) photography and bird watching.
Cremation has taken place. Due to the pandemic a Celebration of Life service will be announced in the future.
