Following a long and fulfilling life, with family by his side, Ken left us peacefully in his 98th year.
He was predeceased by his wife and love of his life for 67 years, Marian. Ken will be greatly missed but always remembered by their kids Lyn (Bryan), Roy(predeceased) (Maureen), and Dave (Mary). Much loved ‘Papa’ to Chris (Ivy), Carrie, Adam (Rebecca), Emily (Andrew), Daniel, Kate and Will. Great grandpa (‘Big Papa’) to Nathan, Maeve, Cameron, Chelsie and Hudson. Throughout his career, Ken displayed considerable natural entrepreneurial acumen; at one point being a very hands-on administrator for 3 companies simultaneously. Together, Ken and Marian enjoyed family and friends, travel, the cottage on Cameron lake, or catching some sun at their place in Florida, all the while caring for and supporting each other. Ken enjoyed ‘life long learning’ and pursued diverse interests… a lifelong passion for amateur (and during the war years, commercial) radio, a private pilot’s license, several courses in conversational French , radio and TV servicing and… why not take up electronic piano in your 80’s?? With a natural ear for music, his ever-present ukulele was never far from his side and he could coax lots of tunes from it. Enough memories to last a lifetime. Thanks ‘Papa’.
In lieu of flowers, the family would very much appreciate consideration of a donation to Hill House Hospice, Hospice and Palliative care, Richmond Hill…thank you.
