Kenneth’s Obituary
Kenneth Frederick King
June 08, 1953- December 11, 2020
Age 67
To our Father and Husband:
Dad- a lifetime of steadfast providing, a lifetime of nurturing, of family camping, kayaking and fishing with your boys, weekend parts runs with your girl, cherishing our Mom – your “Queenie”, a lifetime of fishing, snowmobiling, working as a mechanic & a life filled with the love for your dogs. Anyone who knew Dad would know him as a kind hearted, humble and loving man. More than anything else in his life book, we recall a life of unconditional loving and caring of his children. Oh, how he showed us the most beautiful ways to be in this world!
On December 11, the remarkable life of Ken King was complete. Dad was born in Woodstock to the late Sylva and Frederick Allison – fondly known to Dad as F.A. Dad was predeceased by his parents as well as his sister Connie and brother Gordon. Dad is survived by his wife, Brenda and his children, Jason (Jo-Anne), Greg (Archie) and Amanda (Ross).
Following Dad’s wishes we will intern some of his ashes with his parents at the Kirk Cemetary. Following this, his sons will take their annual Father’s Day kayak trip down the Meduxnekeag so that Dad can rest in the very waters that nurtured our forever beings- there he will be, forever fishing!
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB
A private family service to celebrate his life and love will take place.
We wish to thank special nurses Dawnna, Heather and Marie and all the caring nurses on 2North, Upper River Valley Hospital. Special thanks as well to Denise and Amy for coming through when needed the most. We wish to also thank Dr. Ramos for her caring for Dad.
Dad, we have been loved – your work here is done.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in Dad’s memory are much appreciated.
When I come to the end of the horizon
And enter the other shore
Remember me with fondness.
Cry for me no more.
I have found my final resting place
That special place to fish
Remember the times that we shared
You too, I will miss.
This is the journey I must take
and I must go alone
Know that my heart is with you,
as I take this journey home.
To that final fishing hole
For fishermen like me
To tell the biggest fishing tales
About the one that got away.
Remember me with fondness
This is not goodbye
It is « Till we meet again »
At the fishing hole in the sky
