Peacefully at his home in London, on Saturday May 23, 2020, William Kenneth Webster passed away in his 88th year. Beloved partner of Roxanne Jervis. Dear father of Mary Jean Malyszka of Calgary, William (Vilma) Webster of Newbury and John (Eugenie) Webster of Cambridge and proud grandfather of Mark, Nathan and Michael. Also survived by his brother Donald Webster (late Leona) and his dear nieces Janet (Brian) Watson and Margie (Pierre) Webster and their families. Fondly remembered by Robin (Dikko) Jervis, Colin (Kit) Jervis, Sarah (Toni) Ljungqvist and their families.
Ken’s passion in life was his family and being an amazing grandfather. His favorite pastime for which he is well known is playing the bagpipes. He began playing at the age of 11 alongside his brother and father in the Glencoe Highland Pipe band. Over the years he has been a dedicated member of several bands including the Glencoe Lions Pipe band, Strathroy Legion Pipe band, Ingersoll Pipe band, London Firefighters Pipe band, Royal Scots Pipe band, and Chatham/Kent Police Services Pipe band. He was also devoted Mason for over 50 years and member of Glencoe Lorne Masonic Lodge #282, London Kilwinning Masonic Lodge #64 and was a member of the Shriners.
Family and his many friends describe Ken as a kind and generous man, quiet and humble, always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed.
Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at the Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe. A Memorial celebration will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Victoria Order of Nurses and Saint Elizabeth Healthcare.
