It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Keith MacSween, age 46 on Friday, May 29, 2020 at his residence in Halifax, NS.
He was born in Glace Bay in 1974. Keith was the son of Myrna (MacDonald) MacSween and the late Michael MacSween
Keith graduated from Glace Bay High in 1992. He earned a Diploma in Engineering from St. FX University in 1994. He then earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Dalhousie University in 1997. He then earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa in 2002.
Keith loved living in downtown Toronto, he felt most at home in the big city.
He worked as a Chemical Engineer for 20 years and worked as an Associate Professor at Seneca College in Toronto for 5 years.
Besides his mother, Keith is survived by his sister, Karen Pyke (Allan) and his brother, Kirk MacSween (Ashlee).
He is also survived by two nephews, Cole Pyke and Michael MacSween as well as a niece, Sophie MacSween.
Keith had many close friends and it was these friendships that he cherished most. He will be dearly remembered and sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace Keith.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Cremation & Reception Center, Glace Bay. There will be no visitation and a private ceremony will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations in memory of Keith may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
