Waite, Kathleen A. – (November 8, 1921 – June 19, 2020)
Kathleen Waite (née Wheeler) was born to Mr and Mrs William Wheeler from Buckinghamshire, England. While the second world war was on she met and married Albert Waite from Oshawa, Ontario who was in the Canadian Army. In 1946 they were married in St. Peter’s Church, Burnham, Buckinghamshire. She left England in September 1946 and came to Canada to join her husband. They have one son Joe (wife Carol), one grandson Joe (wife Sherry) and one granddaughter Angela (husband Todd). There are also three grandsons, Joseph, Jacob and Justin plus two granddaughters Danielle and Lauren. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in July 2016, her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She was the last living member of her family.
Albert and Kathleen lived in Oshawa until 1977 while Albert retired from General Motors and they joined their son on a farm in Mitchell, Ontario and later in Cameron, Ontario. Summers were spent at their cottage on Four Mile Lake and winters at their condo in Freeport, Bahamas.
In keeping with Kathleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
