It is with sadness we announce the passing of our mother Joyce Dolores Farren. Mom passed away suddenly in Surrey BC on October 28th 2020 at the age of 85.
Born May 18th 1935 on the Mork family Homestead in Cleeves Saskatchewan to parents Torval and Eva Mork. Mom grew up in a busy household the second youngest of 14 children.
Predeceased by her husband Mike, daughter Cindy, daughter-in-law Margita and all 13 of her siblings. She survived by her children and grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mom loved telling stories of growing up in the prairies and often spoke of the close lifelong bond she shared with her siblings. Mom was a curling fan since a young girl and watched it faithfully throughout her life. She cherished time spent with friends (a social butterfly). She was always up for a game of cards and a good joke. Mom was a fabulous cook and loved cooking festive meals for family and friends. She made the best turkey dinners, they were amazing and will be missed. Mom was trooper throughout her life and in her final days she kept her sense of humor and stayed strong.
Mom, you are missed by many. Due to covid-19 a virtual service will be held within the next few weeks.
