It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph at Hospice, surrounded by his family. Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Irene (Kominar), daughter Catherine Dowdall, son Joey (Kendall Soucie) and grandson Aidan Dowdall. Predeceased by his parents Martin (1979) and Katarina (Hvizda, 1995) and brother Julius (2002). He will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law John & Patricia Kominar (Waterloo), Joe & Mabel Riordon (Oakville), Dan & Eleanor Marcuz (Windsor) and Stan & Darlene Zin (New York) as well as many nieces and nephews. Joe graduated from Assumption University and taught math at Glendale High School in Tillsonburg and Massey Secondary School in Windsor and Math of Finance at St. Clair College for 22 years until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and colleagues in Canada, USA and Slovakia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor or the charity of your choice.
