Obituary of John Burbage
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that John left us peacefully in the early evening at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Thursday, December 23, 2020 at the age of 84.
He was the beloved partner of Judy Donofrio and loving father to his 3 children: Brenda Corcoran (Burbage) of Oshawa, Robert Burbage of Edmonton, AB and Derrick Burbage (Donelda) of Marmora ON. John was an incredible grandfather to Sean Corcoran (Erika), Philip Corcoran (Crystal), Whitney, Alexis, and Nickolas Burbage, Staisha Manchester (Burbage) and Johnathan Burbage. He was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Bernadette Burbage and Cecilia Carroll (Andrew).
John was an avid fisherman and hunter, a true lover of nature. His outdoor passion was shared with dear friends at camp. Whether in the bush hunting, enjoying the colourful fall leaves, bundled up on the frozen winter lakes fishing or building a bridge to get to camp safely, John loved all things outdoors. He cared and respected all his many friends and cherished his time with each of you.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff and volunteers at ARCH for making John’s short time there as pleasant and peaceful as possible. In keeping with John’s wishes, no services will take place. Memorial donations made to ARCH would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705- 945-7758).
