18 mars 2020
It is with great sadness that the Geniole’s must say goodbye to their loving brother John after losing his battle to cancer. Johnny is survived by his loving wife Debra of nearly 40 years and his 9 siblings Joseph (Marlene), Ralph (Gerry), Carl (Maureen), JoAnne (Jimmy deceased), Michael (Theresa deceased), Ernest (Marlene), Juliana, Bernadette (Richard). Johnny is predeceased by his mother Audrey Trauzzi and his father Joseph Geniole. He was a loving uncle to Joe Jr. Deceased (Catherine), Tommy (Rebecca), Josh (Fallen), Jody (Diane), Jamie (Tony), Terena (Dave), Lorrianne (Gary), Paul (Anna), Agnes, John (Janice), Darryl, Nicole (Kyle), Dee Dee (Jay), John (Lori), LeeAnn (Tim), Lisa, Christine (Steve), Michael II (Nancy), Robert (Renee), Shawn (Lindsay), Kate (Nick), Tammy (Andrew), Ron, Tammy, Matthew Jr. (Jennifer), Krystal (Mark), Dawn (Brandon), Katrina (Mark). He was also great uncle and great great uncle to an enormous number of nieces and nephews.
John will be fondly remembered for his love of trains, music, an exceptional memory but most of all his love for his family, extended family and dear friends. If there’s one thing we’ve heard countless times throughout Johnny’s life is that « he is just a wonderful person « . Even those he encountered briefly felt the beauty of his personality and never failed to mention it. Among many other medical issues, Johnny was blind and always managed to surprise everyone when he’d show up somewhere via public transit without a care in the world. Nothing stopped him. He was a trooper through and through.
In light of COVID19 and the posing restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be postponed and announced at a later date.
In memory of John and in lieu of flowers, should you wish, please consider donations to the CNIB or any other foundation of choice.
