John Joseph Bud Anson Friday November 6th 2020

Anson, John « Bud » – passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Kingston General Hospital, in the arms of Patty, his loving wife of 58 years. Bud was fortunate to live most of his life in good health, spending much of his 32 years of retirement in rinks, on golf courses, or shuttling around his grandchildren Abbey and Jack, who he adored. He was a humble man who loved his family and friends. Bud’s message was more often unspoken and instead demonstrated through his actions. Surround yourself with good people, be kind, be patient and be generous. He found great pleasure in being quietly supportive to so many people, just when they needed it the most.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and Carrie, siblings Dolly (Don), Annamae (Ronny) and Sonny (Marilyn). Survived by his sisters Barbara (Doug) and Susie (Wayne). Bud was a loving father to Patrick (Karen) and a wonderful grandfather to Abbey and Jack. Bud’s world changed with the passing of his daughter Tricia in 2005, missing her greatly and enduring a wound that wouldn’t heal. We can find peace in knowing that he is with Tricia now.
A private family funeral mass will occur at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, November 12, 2020, with a private interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery to follow. Covid protocols and screening will be in place.
Donations in Bud’s memory to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 would be welcomed by his family. Online condolences and donations at www.wartmanfuneralhomes.com
