Obituary
KETTLES, John Charles (Jack)1937 – 2020
John Charles (Jack) Kettles passed away on April 23, 2020.
Jack was born in New Westminster, raised in Ladner and the family farm on Kettles Road. Jack was the middle and only boy of 5 Kettles children. Jack was a farmer, fisherman, trucker and mariner, but a farmer at heart, always willing to talk about the weather or crops. Jack married Sharen in 1963, and they raised 4 amazing children. Jack enjoyed a variety of sports, especially lacrosse, as well as hunting, fishing, his daily walks and growing and tending his garden. Jack will always be remembered for his colourful phrases.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Fred and Ellenore Kettles, his sisters Diane Coleman, Dorothy Manley and Margaret McRae. He is survived by his sister Marion Falcos, his 4 remarkable children Tracey (Lorne), Michele (Robert), Darren (Dale), Mike (Tracy), grandchildren Courtney (Joe), Jane, Emily (Chris), Taylor (Ben), Danika (Greg), Hailey, great grandchildren Ava, Zoe, William (Billy), Thomas and his last born great grandson John Charles, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. He also leaves his life long friends Gordon and Mel, his dear friend Lucy and good neighbour Smokey.
Despite the fact that Jack would have appreciated a gathering of family and friends, this will not be happening. The family would like you to enjoy the memories you have of him. Dad, we will miss you.
