It is with deep sadness that the loving family of John Albert Mills aged 57 announce his passing on December 21, 2020 after a brief illness.
John was predeceased by his parents Maxwell and Kathleen Mills.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his sisters and brothers: Marilyn Lee (Shawn), Connie Murphy (Brian), Gloria Brown (Robert), Greg Mills (Rachel) and Glenn Mills: nieces and nephews: Shawn, Dean, Aaron and April Lee, Leanne and Michael Murphy, Stephen, Samantha and Amy Brown and special pet Max his cat.
John grew up in Goulds, NL and spent his final days there surrounded by the special love and friendship of his special friends and sisters Gloria, Connie and Marilyn. Though John was a quiet man, family meant everything to him always there for everyone leaving his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews with wonderful memories. He was always up for a good time and a game of cards with those he cherished. John was an avid dart player in his day and spent much time playing darts and enjoying the company of family and friends over the years. This included many special games with his mother Kay who could be quite the dart shark. John was that someone who you could call on any time of day or night to lend a helping hand and like his father Max, John was a “jack (john)of all trades”. He could fix or build just about anything and helped his family with many renovation projects over the years asking nothing in return. John also loved the outdoors especially fishing and golf. He spent many days on the golf course with his nephew Stephen and enjoyed a most memorable salmon fishing trip with his brother Greg in Terrace B.C. John we will miss you but take comfort in knowing you are resting safely in the arms of your beloved mother and father continuing to play cards and darts, fishing, golfing and helping Mom and Dad with all the handy work. Rest easy John. Till we meet again.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Due to COVID-19 a funeral service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
