Obituary of Joan Elizabeth McGuire-Ryan
McGUIRE-RYAN, Joan Elizabeth – It is with great sadness that we announce that our loving mother Joan McGuire-Ryan, born July 1, 1961 passed away suddenly at her home on September 10, 2020 at the young age of 59. Joan is predeceased by her parents Rosena and Cyril Kensit, her biological mother Anne Rohrer (nee. Tippett), siblings Stu (Monica) and Alvin (Laurie). Joan will be forever missed by her 3 daughters Deanna, Rosina and Cheryl. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her siblings John (Grace), Bonnie (Robert), Gloria (Scott), Joseph (Debbie), Arnie, Ray (Michele), and Deanne. Joan will be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren Jason, Tyler (Makenzie), Justin, Tyra, Elisha, Brayden, Selina, Tricia, Darius, also by her 2 grandbabies, her many nieces, nephews along with her aunts, uncles and many cousins. Joan was an avid reader of Stephen King novels. Once she started his books, it was hard to get her to put it down. She really enjoyed spending time with her family members whenever she could. There are a million memories we all have of her and her infectious smile. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service held in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.. If desired, donations to Pet/Friends for Life would be appreciated. For friends and family that cannot attend, Joan’s daughters will be having a celebration of life next summer (date to be set at a later time).
