Obituary of Joan Elaine Munn
MUNN, JOAN ELAINE
The passing of Joan Elaine Munn, wife of Thomas Munn of Boiestown, NB, occurred on March 29, 2020 at their home. Born on July 4, 1955 in Stanley, NB, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Keith and Mary Louise (Fullarton) Sparkes. Joan was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. She loved to be in church and was a member of the choir. She loved her family; her daughter and grandchildren meant the world to her. Joan enjoyed feeding the crows and she became known locally as « The Crow Lady ». She will be dearly missed.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Tammy Munn of Boiestown; twin granddaughters, Madison and Mackenzie Hunter; grandson, Hayden Hunter; sisters, Margaret Colford (Marty) of Boiestown, Marilyn Sparkes (Junior) of Boiestown; brothers, Robert Sparkes (Brenda) of Prince Rupert, Laurie Sparkes (Olivia) of Stanley; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her brother, Lynwood Sparkes and his wife Carol.
Arrangements are under the care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Bruce officiating. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the public is invited to participate via a Live Webcast on the funeral home website, with only immediate family attending. Interment will be in the Boiestown United Cemetery at a later date. Cards of condolence may be sent care of York Funeral Home and will be delivered to the family. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Sharing of memories and condolences may be done through www.yorkfh.com
