Jean Murphy-Dunn
1930-2020
BASS RIVER, NB – Jean Murphy-Dunn 89, of Bass River
passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, in Rexton on
Monday, April 27, 2020. Born in East Branch, she was the
daughter of the late David T. Harnett and late Laura (Whelan)
Harnett.
Jean was passionate about life, she loved to travel and in
her younger years could be found traveling around in her motor home to
musical events. Jean loved music and enjoyed being around people.
Before retiring, she delivered mail, was an Ambulance attendant, owned
a logging company with her 2nd husband Cameron
and they enjoyed scaling logs together.
Jean will be sadly missed by her sister, Emma Hudson
(Raymond); her brother, David E. Harnett (Betty); daughter-in-law,
Betty Murphy (Reginald Richard) all of South Branch; sister-in-law
Teresa (Emile) Savoie of Moncton; step-sons, Warren Dunn (Joan) of
Fredericton, Weldon Dunn (Glenna) of Beersville; brother-in-law, Kenny
Dunn; sister-in-law, Bessie Butcher; her grandchildren, Terry
& Patty; step-grandchildren, Tracey, Cheryl, Lynn, Trudy,
Jamie, Kelly, Tammy, Laura, Jeremy; several great grandchildren, great
great grandchildren and one great great great grandson; several God
children and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first
husband, Patrick Murphy; second husband, Cameron Dunn; special friend,
Glenn Baldwin; two sons, Thomas & Arthur; one sister, Iona;
one step-son, Graham (Brenda); siblings-in-law, Phil, Rev. Denis, Dan,
Rita, Mary, Arnold, Dorothy, Charlie, Lillian, and
Bobby.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2020
at 1:30 pm at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in South
Branch.
