Janet Pone, Sheshatshiu NL November 7, 1956 – April 6, 2020
The family of Janet Pone (Ashini) would like to announce the peaceful passing of their wife and mother, on April 6, 2020 at the Labrador Grenfell Health Center, Happy Valley Goose Bay at the age of 63 years. She leaves behind her loving husband Etinne Pone of 45 years and their children: Douglas Ashini (Roxanne Rich), Paul Pone (Pauline Pone), Elizabeth Artvan (Sylvester Artvan),Stephanie Pone (Patrick Shiwawk), Stephen Ashini (Rebecca Rich).
She also left behind 25 grandchildren who were the light of her life and 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers George Ashini (Emma Ashini), Marcel Ashini, Joseph Ashini (Mary Jane Penunsi), Patrick Ashini, Jackie Ashini (Geoffery Patipshi), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Mary Martha and Penote Ashini, son Peter, Brother Daniel Ashini, Sister Louisa Pokue.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the hospital, as well as the chief and SIFN during this difficult time.
Finally reunited with her son Peter.
