Janet May Clouter
January 18/1934 – November 30/2020
Janet was born January 18, 1934 to Heber and Ida Saunders in Change Islands, NL. She grew up with 4 siblings, 3 brothers and 1 sister (who passed away at a very young age).
Janet married Solomon Clouter and lived in Catalina, where they had 11 children (8 girls and 3 boys). Janet was widowed at an early age when her husband passed away suddenly and began working at the local fish plant in Port Union up until her retirement. She was very outgoing and very social. She loved being around crowds and having family gatherings and never liked being alone. She was always game for anything and loved a great laugh and could put a smile on your face in minutes. She loved to dress up and was always well put together and would never leave the house any other way. Her last two months were spent at Golden Heights Manor where she met some wonderful people who were very special to her heart and would put a smile on her face even on her bad days.
She is predeceased by her husband Solomon, daughter Jean, son Lorne, her mother and father, sister Gladys brothers Frank and Roy, daughter in law Trudy and companion Wilson Hayward.
Left with fond and loving memories are her children Elizabeth, Gail (Eugene), Rita (Danny), Bonnie-Lou (Rodney), Patricia (Graham), Pauline (Gordan), Mervin (Brenda), Paula, Irving, brother Elam (Maddie); 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; daughter in law Barbara Clouter; lifelong friend Ruby and a large circle of family and friends.
She will forever be loved and missed, but we thank the Lord above for giving us such a loving, incredible woman to be ours.
