James passed peacefully away at the Perth Hospital on Saturday, February 8th, at the age of 73. He was the beloved father of Wendy Davis (Garry), James William Jones, Kate Tysick (Paul), Cody Jones (Kristen), Mitchell Jones, and Melanie McKay (Tim). James was the cherished grandfather of Casey (Patrick), Benjamin, Bailey (Conrad), Jarred, Morgan, Makenna, Kallie, Riley, Taylor, Sam, Jordan and Annie-Jo, and treasured great-grandfather of Lennox and Stella. James will be sadly missed by his life-long friend Anne Halladay. He is survived by his brother Bobby Jones (Marlene). James was predeceased by his siblings Mary, Betty, Birdie, Daisy, Jean, Harriett and Billy. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wish to thank all the 2nd floor doctors, nurses and staff at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital for their compassion and care over the last few days.
A celebration of James’ life will be held at a later date. In remembrance of James, contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth
