James Richard Pynn
June 24, 1933 – May 31, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James “Jim” Pynn dear husband, father and brother on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital at the age of 86, retired Metrobus driver of St. John’s. Predeceased by his parents James and Ann Pynn of Southside Road; brothers: Jack, Dan, Pat, and Paul; sisters: Marg and Mary. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his dear wife Joan; and daughter Carol (special friend Tom); grand children Krista (Ian) and Mark and special great granddaughters Parker and Sawyer; brother Kevin (Elaine); sisters: Bridget, Carol Ann Coombs (Trepassey), Bernice Penney (Clayton), and Bernadette Campbell (Leigh) PEI.; sisters in law Lorraine Heffernan (Mike) and Marie Callahan (Don), a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His special furry companion who was always at his side, Joy. Cremation has taken place.
Due to the current COVID-19 circumstances, there will not be a public funeral or visitation. Inurnment to take place on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their compassion and thoughtfulness in caring for Jim. Although he has left us with sadness in our hearts, he is now at peace and will be forever missed.
