After a lengthy illness, it is with great sadness that I announce the passing of James Leo Dellaire in his 89th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Esther Dellaire (nee Paquette). He is predeceased by his parents Joseph Dellaire, mother Julia Maloney of Mt. St. Patrick, step-mother Eileen Senior and brothers Ronald, Carson and Karl Dellaire. Left to mourn is his wife Esther, sisters Kaireen Merchand (late George), Eganville, Shirley Cousins (Glen), Oshawa and his many nieces and nephews. Jim loved hunting, fishing and gardening. In his later years he and Esther traveled a lot to other countries and across Canada which they enjoyed together. Supples Landing has been our home for 9 and a half years. It is like being included in one big family with everyone looking out for each other. The management, staff and nursing staff gave us love, care and encouragement when needed. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Wednesday November 4th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 4th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Lourdesview Drive Pembroke, followed by cremation. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS OF THE COVID-19 MANDATES, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH AT ANY GIVEN TIME – FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND VISITATION AND FUNERAL MASS. Please feel free to bring your own face mask or one will be supplied to you by the Funeral Home. (Please call the funeral home at 613-735-5711 if you wish to attend the visitation or Funeral. An appointment time will be arranged). Interment St. James Cemetery, Eganville. In memory of Jim, donations to the St. Joseph Food Bank or St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated.
