JAMES FREDERICK GARRETT
OCTOBER 23, 1948 – DECEMBER 26, 2020
James Frederick Garrett, passed away peacefully in his 73rd year, on December 26th, 2020 at the VON Sakura House, and arrived in Heaven. James was born on October 23rd, 1948. He was employed as a professional driver for Mel Hall for 53 years and taught truck driving at Fanshawe College while providing for his family. His true calling was fulfilled in life being a peaceful leader, and minister of God’s love to every person. He was predeceased by his parents, Garfield and Margaret Garrett. Survived by his loving wife Gail Ann Garrett, brothers Michael (wife Gayle), Douglas (wife Nancy), Paul (wife Rejane), and Warren “Gord” (wife Ann). James was also survived by his children Dan, Roberta, Lori, Evie , Rebekah, Kathleen, Tammy, and Anna. He was a proud grandfather to 21 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his friends whom he viewed as his family. A service will be scheduled next year to be announced when we can gather. Memorial donations in honor of James can be made to the Global Christian Ministerial Forum, P.O. Box 52, Caledon Village, Ontario, Canada, L7K 3L3 and the VON Sakura House, 715180 Oxford Road 4, Woodstock, ON N4S 7V9 and may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Garrett Family.
