James Dionne
1933-2020
James Albert Dionne of Gladwyn, NB, passed away peacefully at the
Tobique Valley Manor on the morning of December 23, 2020.
James was born in Gladwyn, NB, on August 26, 1933. He was the son of
the late James E. and Ellen (Dugan) Dionne. James leaves behind his
daughters, Eileen Wiseman (Brad) of Rusagonis, NB, Michelle Dionne
(Rena) of Toronto, ON; his wife, Hilda Dionne (Denny) of Fredericton,
NB; his granddaughters, Kristen Wiseman-Nicholson (Garrett) of
Toronto, ON, Sarah Wiseman (fiancé Colby) of Fredericton, NB; his
sister, Dorothy Usrey of Ocala, FL; along with several nieces and
nephews.
James was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Thurza
« Bette » Dionne and Marie Bouchard; his brothers, Kenneth and
Albert Dionne.
James was a well known potato farmer in the area and was also a member
of the NB Farmer’s Union. He served in the Canadian Air Force and was
a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #85, of Arthurtte, NB.
He was also a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Council
6414.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, January
15, 2021 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday,
January 16, 2021 at 11 am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church.
Father Gilbert Doddatto celebrating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart
Catholic Cemetery, Red Rapids, NB, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sacred Heart Catholic
Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
Due to the NB Health Department guidelines in regards to Covid-19, a
mask is mandatory for the visitation and funeral.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
