Obituary for
Isidoro Bertoli
It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isidoro Bertoli. Dad/Nonno/Pappa Nonno, Uncle, (Izzy/Doro) will forever remain in the hearts of the people that knew him.
After a very courageous battle and in the comfort of his home, he has gone on to be reunited with Rose, his beloved wife and best friend of 59 years , their daughter, Angela, brothers; Silvio and Mario; and nephew, Danilo Bertoli.
Isidoro was a man with a huge heart and his family was his greatest treasure. He will forever be missed by his daughter, Teresa (Alan) Hiller; grandchildren; Charlene (Geoff) Tracey, Travis Hiller (Sarah), and Shelby Hiller (Anthony); great-grandchildren; Emerson and Benjamin Tracey and Lincoln Hiller.
He will also be greatly missed by his two brothers, Armando (Elda) and Lucio (Claria); nieces, nephew, relatives and friends in Italy. Sister-in-law, Marlene Bertoli, Danila (William), Dean (Stacey), Derrick (Dayna), sister-in-law, Nancy Savard (Bob), extended family, numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. R. Wiznura, our angelic nurses, Samantha/Sheila/ SatPal, and the Northeast Edmonton Palliative Care team. Everyone helped keep dad as comfortable as possible and supported us tremendously during his battles and especially in the last couple weeks of his life.
Cremation has already taken place. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 20 at 1:00 p.m. with Father George Puramadathil CFIC officiating at Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. We will be holding the service for both Isidoro and Rosalie at this same time. Please note the streamline link available to attend the service virtually from home will be available at www.parkmemorial.com if you choose not to venture out at this time. There is a limit of 50 people that may wish to attend with all AHS regulations in place.
A private family Interment will be held at a later date in the summer of 2021.
In lieu of flowers a donation on Isidoro’s behalf can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the charity of one’s choice.
