Obituary of Isaac Lucas
Isaac Lucas, earned his wings and passed away peacefully on February 10, 2020 at the Beaverlodge Hospital with all his children at his bedside at the age of 84 years. He was born in Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland on September 5, 1935 to his parents Florence & Joseph Lucas.
Isaac was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his family and was loved by all. He always put his family first. Isaac worked mostly in mining as an Electrician. He loved to fish, hunt and challenged anyone who wanted to play a game of crib. He was witty, loved to make people laugh and always had a positive outlook on life. There were no back doors with Isaac, he always spoke what was on his mind.
Isaac will be dearly missed by his sons: Randy (Tina), Maurice (Tina), Isaac Junior (Krista) and Jason (Pam), his daughters: Sandra (Basil) Oliver, Glenda (Dean) Hewitt, Jackie (Lindsay) Mitchell, Edwina (Larry) Holm, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and special friend, Maisie Benoit. Also his siblings: Martin, Mercedes, Marie, Olivera, Adolph, Albert, Madonna, Shirley, Rosalie, Hayward, Percy, Sibby, David, and Maryann
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Laura; son, Keith; granddaughter, Marlina and grandson, Jamie. His parents: Florence and Joseph Lucas and his siblings: Sammy, Vincent, Catherine, Augustine, Raymond and Maurice.
Isaac will be sadly missed but never forgotten by all who knew him.
With respect to Isaac’s wishes no formal funeral service will be held. A private family gathering will be held in Newfoundland at a later date, where him and Laura will be together forever.
The Lucas family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
