Passed peacefully away at his family residence in Deer Lake, Hoover Clayton Evans on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 65 years Sybil Evans (nee Keats); children: Brian (Glenda) Evans, Harold (Sharon) Evans, Joy Evans, Judy (Arliss) Wight and Joanne (Larry) Locke; son-in-law Scott Ball; grandchildren: Peter, Kevin, Michael, Scottie, Mark, Melanie, Ian, Megan, Katie, Jillian and Evan; great-grandchildren: Sierra, Savannah, Braydon, Maddie, Max, Murphy, Cooper, Clark and Chase; sisters: Joy (Clarence) Squires and Linda (Bob) Watkins; brothers: Truance Evans and Gerald Evans; sisters-in-law: Beatrice (Beaton) Nichols, Eleanor (Roger) Maloney, Marjorie Schroder, Maxine Evans and Glennis Keats; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Carol Ball, daughter-in-law Patsy Evans, parents Clayton and Hazel Evans, brothers Stanley Evans and Edward Evans, parents-in-law Harold and Eva Keats, brother-in-law Harold Keats and sister-in-law Marie Evans. A special thank you to homecare workers Lillian Holloway, Sarah Leiske and Joselyn Young. Due to the Government Covid-19 Restrictions a private family visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17 at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Deer Lake with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden and The Rev. Deacon Terry Coates officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
