Obituary of Helen A. Burke (nee MacLean)
BURKE, Helen A. (née MacLean), of St. Thomas, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, in her 86th year. Wife of the late Joseph P. Burke (2004). Mother of Marie Burke, Lorne Burke (Donna), and Tom Burke. Grandmother of Terry, Ryan, John, Amanda, Ian, Eleisha, Chelsea, Kayla, Paige, and Logan. Great grandmother of Emily and Payton. Sister of Harold MacLean and Lavina Dower. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters. Born in Chatham, NB, January 17, 1935, daughter of the late John and Katie MacLean. Helen was a member of Bible Baptist Church, St. Thomas. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
